Wellbeans was an idea that came into being one day while founder, Liz Andrews, was attending a social contact event at the Bristol Harbourside annual festival. During the first day, Liz engaged with three different families, all of whom had sadly lost loved ones through taking their own lives. The most shocking thing was that none of their loved ones had any knowledge or concerns that they were struggling with their emotional health. Never had this been discussed, if only they had reached out, started that conversation. It was at that moment in time, when Liz, who has emotional ill health lived experience, wondered how this could be challenged. And so the thinking behind the group came into being.
With like-minded, passionate colleagues and friends, all Time to Change Champions, with their own lived experience, together, slowly but surely, Wellbeans Initiative Community Interest Company evolved….
